Denali Commission Rural Manager Training Needs Assessment

Three Star was contracted to provide a comprehensive assessment of training needs from the perspective of rural managers in Rural Alaska, who collectively are responsible for more than a billion dollars in public infrastructure. As part of the study, Three Star traveled to multiple rural hubs to do outreach for the training needs assessment, conduct program inventories of existing training programs, and elicit the support of regional organizations to assist with the statewide Rural Manager training needs assessment survey. As a result of this survey, a detailed picture of training needs, barriers to education, and preferred training delivery methods was developed. Attached is the executive summary and detailed report.
